Green Herons are a solitary bird who can be elusive. They often stand perfectly still when they feel uncomfortable. I found this juvenile along a wetland path. It was in a clearing and with the use of my favorite lens I was able to capture it. The bird uses a small feather that it places in its beak as a form of bait.
