Description
Perrine's Covered Bridge was built in 1821. It spans the Wallkill River just north of New Paltz, NY. The bridge is an excellent example of a Burr trussed arch. In 1966 the bridge was designated a New York Historic Site and in 1973 was listed as National Register of Historic Places. The bridge runs along side the New York State Throughway.
