Some days you just can't get any peace. This must be why this bittern is angry. All it wanted to do is sleep. Yet, people are stopping to look, stare, watch and mostly annoy the bird. It is at times like that I am happy to have a lens where I can stand back and not disturb an animal. The bittern has made it home on a creek that run along a road. It is unusual for this type of bird to be so close to the "action" as they normally try to stay out of the open.
